The Gonzales facility is a state-of-the-art production facility that services a strong agribusiness customer base through established distribution channels. This facility uses our proprietary technology and process known as the High Temperature Liquid Composting, or HTLC, system, which processes various biodegradable waste products into liquid food waste-based fertilizer and feed products.

Our fertilizers have a long shelf life compared to many other organic fertilizers. They have been tested in numerous field trials for more than a dozen crops with the result that, on average, the net value of the farmer’s crop increased 11-16% depending on the particular crop and product application. This is due in part to the high carbon and organic matter in the products.

Converted Organics SMART Units

Converted Organics has developed a smaller version of our manufacturing process, using the same proprietary technology used in Gonzales, CA. We call these small fertilizer manufacturing units Scalable Modular Aerobic Technology, or (SMART) Units. SMART Units are custom designed to meet our client’s needs and can be as sophisticated as required, processing anywhere from 5 to 50+ tons of food waste per day. Each SMART Unit is delivered preassembled to the site, and is a “semi-portable” system that can be moved as needed.
